Review: Turn-It-All Bow Whip
I must take a quick break from working on this month’s featured project to sing the praises of one of the most essential tools in my sewing toolkit: the Turn-It-All Bow Whip. This tool allows you to turn tubes of any length and width in seconds. This month’s project requires turning a tube about 8 feet long; anyone who has turned a tube of *any* length can imagine how annoying this would normally be!
The tool comes with sets of plastic tubes and dowels of various sizes.
You simply insert the plastic tube into a fabric tube with one end sewn shut:
Slide the plastic tube all the way to the closed end, then poke the dowel into the closed end and push the fabric up through the inside of the plastic tube.
The plastic tube will now be on the outside, the dowel on the inside, and you tube will be right-side out! Brilliant!
I got mine at Jo-Ann’s for about $7 or $8, and it is definitely worth it considering the time it saved and the variety of sizes it comes with.
